Each unfold, or each tap, is one knock on the nut. Every ten knocks crack a nut, and the big counter keeps score of the nuts you have cracked.

  • Duo mode

    On iPhone Duo, every unfold onto the inner screen is a knock on the nut. Folding back never counts.

  • Tap mode

    Works on any iPhone, with its own counter: every tap on the squirrel is a knock.

  • Ten knocks, one nut

    Every ten knocks crack a nut. The big counter shows how many you have cracked.

  • Squirrel parties

    They come at random, every 2 to 8 nuts, so you never know when. The longer the wait, the bigger the party.

  • Share Nuts

    Turn your count into an image card and send it from the share sheet.

  • Three fur colours

    Classic red, silver grey or golden: pick the squirrel you like.

  • Haptics and sound

    Feel every knock and hear synthesized crack sounds. Either can be turned off in Settings.

  • Nineteen languages

    The app speaks 19 languages.

  • Nothing collected

    No account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. The app never connects to the internet.

Duo mode Unfold, knock, crack

Every time you open iPhone Duo onto its inner screen, the squirrel knocks on its nut, and ten knocks crack it. Folding back never counts.

Squirrel parties You never know when

A party comes at random, every 2 to 8 nuts. The longer the squirrel waits, the bigger it gets: a hop, then a spin, then the golden acorn with confetti.

Pick its fur, and turn haptics and the synthesized crack sounds on or off. Tap mode works on any iPhone and keeps a counter of its own.

Crackgate is a game intended for cracking nuts. Folding and unfolding your iPhone Duo is your own decision: the developers are not responsible for any damage to your device, its hinge, its screens, your fingers, or the nuts.

Privacy Your nuts stay with you

Crackgate has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising, and it never connects to the internet. Your counters and settings stay on your iPhone.

Crackgate is not out yet. It will be on the App Store for iPhone, and it needs iOS 27 or later. Duo mode needs iPhone Duo; Tap mode works on any iPhone.
